Full Show

entire show, start to finish

You want photos that actually capture the sweat and energy of a live set, not just some dark, blurry iPhone shots. I have shot hundreds of shows in almost every venue around the Champaign area, so I already know the lighting and how bands move on stage. For one flat rate, I document your entire set and send you the full gallery of the best edits.

studio session photography

Guitarist wearing headphones recording in a professional music studio with Korg keyboard in foreground.

There is a specific kind of magic that happens when you are actually making the record, and you should have proof of it. I will drop by the studio for a few hours, stay completely out of the way, and shoot documentary-style photos of you tracking, writing, and hanging out. It is a relaxed, fly-on-the-wall session for one flat rate, giving you a massive gallery of behind-the-scenes content to tease the record before it drops.

Studio Session

about 3 hours, give or take

A more intentional shoot for promo images, EPK updates, press, posters, or anything that needs a little more thought than a quick snap. We’ll move at a pace that lets the good ideas breathe without turning it into a full production. For a standard 3-4 hour session, you’ll get up to 75 edited images, plus a mix of group shots, individual portraits, and a few loose moments that don’t feel like you’re all posing for a company handbook.

Understanding that sometimes studio work is unpredictable, my time block for this is between 3-4 hours to give you the most flexibility possible.

Band Portraits

Three male musicians posing in a recording studio with instruments and equipment in a vintage room.

Band portraits are where you get the group dynamic without the mess of a live show. No stage, no bad lighting, no fighting for position in a crowded pit. Just the band, a good location, and some time to actually think.

I know how to work with bands as groups, get people out of their heads, and make four people standing in a back alley actually look like they are supposed to be there. The result is a set of images that feel like your band, not a stock photo of a band.

Band Portraits

normally 1 hour

On-location group portraits, individual shots, and a set that gives you options when one photo has to do way too much work. For a standard 1-hour session, you'll get a mix of full-band group shots, smaller combos, and individual portraits that don't feel like anyone is being held at gunpoint. Unless someone brings a gun, in which case it will feel just like that.
